“In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.”
Tony Robbins
This quote from Tony Robbins could’t be more accurate. In every aspect of our lives, what we are today is the sum of everything we have done so far.
If you have been eating well for years, you probably don’t have food related health issues like obesity, anemia or diabetes (unless you have other medical issues that can cause this).
If for years you have been practicing a skill without slacking off, it is highly likely that you are really good at it.
And that applies to everything is life.
It IS that simple.
Check out this recent tweet from Elon Musk.

Elon’s master plan for Tesla has been the same for the last 14 years!
And he’s not the only one! Patrick Bet-David just posted his “testimonial” on how consistency will beat anything.

Patrick sells insurance, the hardest thing on the planet to sell! He is now on exponential growth, no one is stopping this guy.
But just like Tony Robbins said, what you do will shape your life, but it can be good or bad. So if there is something that you do every day that think is beneficial for you, but it’s actually not, you are following a path that will not bring you the results you want.
Let me show you what I mean.
If you work in sales, and everyday you go out to find customers, at first glance that is a good positive thing you are going to earn more money. Do it everyday for years and you might become rich, right?
Well… Besides doing something consistently, you must also find the flaws in your game and improve it.
Here are the steps that you have to follow:
Step 1 – Do it.
Step 2 – Analyse it.
Step 3 – Improve it.
Repeat.
It’s a cycle of continuous integration, analysis and improvement.
This three things need to be in your “consistency package”.
So, what are you going to do different from now on? Let me know in the comments.
